Alumna named 2016 Distinguished Graduate by Florida State University College of Nursing
University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing alumna Sandra B. Dunbar, PhD, RN, FAAN, FAHA, FPCNA has been named the 2016 Distinguished Graduate in the Educator Category by the Florida State University College of Nursing.
Dunbar is a 1982 PhD graduate of the UAB School of Nursing. She was named a UAB School of Nursing “Visionary Leader” in 2010 and was selected in 2011 as the recipient of the UAB School of Nursing Distinguished Alumni Award.
Dunbar is currently the Associate Dean of Academic Advancement and the Charles Howard Candler Professor of Cardiovascular Nursing at Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing in Atlanta, Georgia.
