Fogger elected to Addiction Society Board
Fogger has more than 30 years experience as a psychiatric/mental health nurse. She has been on active duty with the Air Force as a psychiatric staff nurse and nurse manager of an alcohol treatment unit. She has provided psychiatric home health in a rural area of Louisiana and was a nurse manager of a psychiatric adolescent unit.
After obtaining her certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in both advanced adult health and psychiatric nursing, Fogger provided care within a substance treatment program. Since 2003, she has taught psychiatric nursing at the graduate and undergraduate levels and is the psychiatric specialty track coordinator at the school.
The International Nurses Society on Addictions is a professional specialty organization for nurses committed to the prevention, intervention, treatment and management of addictive disorders including alcohol, nicotine and other drug dependencies, dual and multiple diagnosis, eating disorders and process addictions such as gambling.
