The Office of First Year Experience (FYE) is an initiative supported by UAB’s Office of the Provost. FYE is dedicated to creating programming and events designed to reinforce academic excellence, build community cohesion, and inspire Blazer Spirit among first-year freshman and transfer students.
FYE understands that entering college is a formative and multifaceted experience. Our office is available to provide holistic support by connecting students with academic and social resources across campus. FYE aims to facilitate experiences that empower new scholars and encourage the pursuit of lifelong learning.
