Forwarding a phone number
If you are unable to use Jabber softphone but have a critical need to receive calls on your office phone number, you may forward your phone number. The phone system has limited capacity to support forwarding, so please reserve this for health care and critical business functions.
You can forward your office phone line to another phone number, such as your cell phone. To do this on a Cisco phone, press the “Forward All” softkey. Then enter the phone number you want to forward your calls to, exactly as you would dial it from your phone. To verify that your calls are forwarded, look for the “Forward All” icon in the line label, and the forwarding information in the header. To remove forwarding press the “Cancel Forward” softkey.
On a Meridian phone, access the line key for the phone line you want to forward and dial *78 then enter the phone number you want to forward your calls to, exactly as you would dial it from your phone. To remove forwarding dial *79.
