Sanya Patel serves as a Student Assistant, supporting the EACC team with administrative operations and contributing to the day-to-day work that promotes employee well-being across UAB. Sanya is a freshman at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, pursuing a degree in Health Care Management, with a niche interest in healthcare consulting.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Sanya brings a proactive and ambitious approach to everything she does. Her experiences in leadership and service through organizations, such as Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and National Charity League (NCL), have fortified her belief that purposeful change and collaboration start with taking initiative and getting to know the people behind the work. Through NCL, Sanya served as Vice President of Philanthropy and Council Representative. Her commitment to service earned her the President’s Volunteer Service Award in 2024. Through FBLA, Sanya earned a state title for a project focused on the effects of artificial intelligence in healthcare management, also in 2024. Over her four years in FBLA, she progressed through several leadership positions, serving as Freshman Ambassador, Secretary, Vice President, and President.

At UAB and the EACC, Sanya hopes to build profound connections while expanding her knowledge of healthcare management and the ways efficient organizations can effectively support the well-being of their communities. Sanya is driven by the belief that the most meaningful opportunities come from putting yourself out there, being willing to learn, and making positive contributions.
