Heather Jordan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She received a Master of Science (M.S.) in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University. She certified in ScreamFree Parenting.

Heather works with individuals, couples and families on a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, chronic illness, parenting, burnout, stress management, job related concerns, communication, relationships, LGBTQI issues, grief and loss. Using a family systems approach as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy she hopes to help her clients work through issues that may be impacting their daily life. Prior to joining the EACC, she worked at Children’s of Alabama for over 10 years providing counseling to patients with endocrinology and rheumatology issues and their families. She has also worked in community mental health, adolescent group home setting, and in-home counseling. Heather has presented locally on topics including Counseling and Pediatric Chronic Illness, The Mental Health Impact of Chronic Illness, and Non-compliant Students with Diabetes/Chronic Illness.
