Khoi Bishop loves fun times with friends and family, creative jokes and being at the beach. Khoi is interested in a collaborative approach to therapy which allows people to achieve their goals by identifying individual patterns of thoughts, emotions, body feelings and actions. This approach allows them to recognize how their thinking patterns affects their behaviors in life. He consider Aaron Beck as his “ Therapist Super Hero”, his theoretical orientation is based on Beck’s Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and the Cognitive Triad of the self, the world and environment, and the future, and how these principles help shape one’s automatic thought process.

Khoi's main focus is working with individuals who struggle with gender identity issues, anger management. Emotional and sexual Trauma. He also works with individuals who may struggle with suicide, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, along with other issues specific to LGBTQIA+ individual s and their allies. In the past, he has served on the UAB Safe Zone Training Committee, is a member of ALGBTICAL (Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling as well as ALCA (Alabama Counseling Association) Khoi’s pronouns are he/him/his.
