Alesia Adams works with individuals to help them capitalize on their strengths and find solutions for the problems in their lives. She uses an integrative approach with a focus on solution oriented and brief therapy models, including One-At-A-Time Therapy. She is also interested in integrative therapies that emphasize the mind/body connection, including teaching mindfulness, meditation, movement, and breathing as tools for moving through stress and anxiety. Alesia is a committed ally to the LGBTQIA community. She served as a member of the UAB Safe Zone Training Committee and was a past member of the Birmingham AIDS Outreach Board of Directors.

Alesia works with individuals on a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, burnout, stress, job related concerns, career development, communication, relationships, grief and loss, as well as issues specific to LGBTQIA individuals, their allies and their family members. She has worked with the UAB EACC for over 25 years. Alesia’s pronouns are she/her/hers.
