The new Space Management System is now available!

This system replaces INSITE Space Management, including the View FM and Net FM applications. Space Management is now fully online and no desktop installations will be required.

You may access the new system, called FMS Workplace, by navigating to the MyUAB portal and adding the Space Management application to myApps. Please note you will need to login with your UAB Blazer ID. A UABMC email will not log you into this system.

The FM Workplace Space Management System provides an institution-wide view of managed space at UAB. FM Workplace serves as a central repository for space inventory, tracking space-related attributes, room ID and numbers, organization assignment, architectural room use, and area. It is also utilized to track space occupants and functional usage. Assignment of this information through the space survey is a key component in the calculations of Facilities & Administrative cost recovery.

Additional uses of FM Workplace:

  • Maintenance of Building Codes Database
  • Origination and Maintenance of University floor plans library
  • Assignment of official room numbers
  • Prepare and Publish Space-related reports
