When a new UAB organizational unit is created, it must be added to the Oracle coding structure. The department level and above are reserved for true organizational units of UAB. However, the division and subdivision levels may contain both true organizational units of UAB and informal workgroups.

Request for a new organizational unit in Oracle, whether for HR or Finance application purposes, should be made using the Request for Oracle Org Code Change Form.

Procedure for Requesting Changes to Oracle Organizational Unit Codes

Disabling a UAB organization code or changing the title of an existing organization code must be requested using the Request for Oracle Org Code Change.
