Dr. Borgogna is a licensed clinical psychologist interested in the treatment of psychopathology. He studies various mental illness interventions, primarily through original lab clinical trials and systematic review/meta-analysis. While he examines many psychological problems, he has particular research and clinical expertise in addiction, trauma, and compulsivity, with an emphasis in sexual health and compulsivity.
Dr. Borgogna has many close colleagues across the world and is a collaborator on a variety of topics ranging from the role of masculinity in mental illness to neurocognitive outcomes associated with COVID-19 infection. Much of his work addresses health disparities, especially for those from sexual and gender minority backgrounds. His work ultimately aims to improve treatment, prevention, and scientific literacy.
