BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Heart and Vascular Services has opened a new cardiology clinic at the UAB Health Center at Moody, east of Birmingham, off Interstate 20.
The new UAB Heart Health Center at Moody, 2701 Moody Parkway, is staffed with experienced and knowledgeable UAB cardiologists and staff who provide primary cardiac care and follow-up for coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, rhythm disturbances, diseased valves and other heart and vessel diseases.
The facility is equipped with diagnostic capabilities, including transthoracic echocardiography, ultrasound, electrocardiograms, Holter and other monitoring, plus basic laboratory testing. Patients who require pacemakers, surgery or other advanced treatments will be referred to specialists at UAB Hospital and The Kirklin Clinic.
The heart center is located inside the UAB Health Center at Moody, which also offers internal medicine and pediatric care.
