BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center has announced two promotions in its Office of Community Affairs, which is responsible for the Center’s public relations, fundraising and development and special events.
Erin Street has been named director of the Office of Community Affairs, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of Cancer Center public relations, fundraising and special events. Previously, Street served as Cancer Center public relations manager. She has been with the Cancer Center for five years.
Josh Till has been named editor of publications. His duties include management of the quarterly Crossroads: Cancer Center Magazine and the Cancer Center website. Previously, Till served as Cancer Center communications specialist. He has been with the Cancer Center for three years.
The UAB Cancer Center is the only such facility in the immediate southeastern United States that meets the high standards for "comprehensive" designation by the National Cancer Institute. It has maintained this status for more than 30 years through stringent reviews of its research, treatment and outreach efforts.
