Faculty-Led Programs

Faculty-led programs are traditionally offered during the semester breaks and the summer term. On a faculty-led program, you are a part of a UAB course, taught by UAB faculty, while traveling overseas. These programs range from 10 days to 6 weeks are designed to be immersive and intensive. Affiliate Programs

Affiliate summer programs are provided through trusted third parties like ISA, USAC, and CISAbroad. Courses will post as transfer credit and are calculated into your official UAB GPA. Choosing an affiliate means opening yourself up to more destination options and additional opportunities like service-learning, internships, special topics, and additional scholarships! Internships

Gain an edge in the job market with an international internships by building your resume and creating a global professional network! Education Abroad offers a variety of internships through our affiliates like ISA and CISAbroad. Internship placements are customized for each student and every major. You can even combine your internship with academic coursework abroad. Talk with our Education Abroad Advisor about receiving academic credit for your international internship!

Non-Supported Programs

Have a particular university in mind not listed in our portfolio? Students may participate in programs outside our portfolio, but must gain approval from UAB Education Abroad before applying to the program. You must complete a Non-Supported Program application to request that Education Abroad evaluate your program of choice. Students will not be eligible for Financial Aid if the program is not approved by Education Abroad.
