UAB is committed to providing an environment that respects the dignity of its students, faculty, staff, patients, and visitors and is free from all forms of discrimination based on sex and related retaliation. It is the responsibility of every member of the University community to promote a culture of respect.
Your Role in Promoting a Culture of Respect at UAB
Your role in promoting a culture of respect at UAB is to complete the Respect EDU Title IX training. This training provides important information about healthy relationships, consent, bystander intervention, sexual misconduct, and the resources available to students. The training is designed to help you understand your rights, recognize ways to support others, and your role in contributing to a campus culture grounded in safety, respect, and UAB's Shared Values.
You can access online training through the Canvas Dashboard. Training assignments are based on your student classification. Depending on your status as a new or returning student, you will be assigned the appropriate Respect EDU course.
