New Undergraduate Students

Yes. All undergraduate transfer students are required to complete the training.

The training will be available beginning August 17, 2026, allowing students early access before classes begin.

Students who do not complete the training by the deadline may have a registration hold placed on their account until the requirement is satisfied.

It takes approximately 90 minutes.

Yes. You may work at your own pace. Canvas will automatically save your progress so you can stop and return later.

To begin:

1. Check your Canvas announcements for updates on when the training becomes available.
2. Log in to Canvas using your UAB username and password.
3. Begin with the Introduction module, then complete the UAB Policies & Resources module before starting Prevention Module One.
4. Complete the training at your own pace. Canvas will automatically save your progress so you can return later.
