The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA) will make its annual donation to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Comprehensive Cancer Center during a luncheon. The foundation will contribute its largest sum raised in a single year to support breast cancer research at UAB. The donation includes proceeds from the sale of specialty breast cancer license plates featuring a pink ribbon and the phrase “funding research in Alabama.”

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA) will make its annual donation to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Comprehensive Cancer Center during a luncheon. The foundation will contribute its largest sum raised in a single year to support breast cancer research at UAB. The donation includes proceeds from the sale of specialty breast cancer license plates featuring a pink ribbon and the phrase "funding research in Alabama."

The event will take place Wednesday, January 27 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center board room, 2nd floor North Pavilion, 1802 6th Avenue South.

The donation ceremony will include UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center Director Edward Partridge, M.D., and Director Emeritus Albert LoBuglio, M.D. BCRFA board members, all of whom have a direct connection to cancer either as a survivor or through helping a loved one cope with a diagnosis, will be in attendance.
