The Junior Faculty Exchange Program involves a reciprocal exchange of a Department of Surgery assistant and associate professor-level faculty from UAB and several intuitions during the summer of an academic year.

Surgery Grand Rounds
Experts from UAB and across the country lecture on a range of cutting-edge surgical topics. Surgical Grand Rounds is held weekly on Tuesday from 7am - 8am in Margaret Cameron Spain Auditorium or via Zoom virtual meetings.
The UAB Heersink School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Alabama School of Medicine designates this Regularly Scheduled Series for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™. The Department of Surgery holds a number of annual named lectureships by which visiting professors visit UAB during Surgery Grand Rounds to share their expertise.
