Bio
Dr. Arnold earned her AS in General Studies from Jefferson State Community College in 2004, BSSW from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2007, MSW from The University of Alabama in 2010, and DSW from the University of Alabama in 2022. Her previous work experience includes serving as Health Coordinator for The UAB Early Head Start Program, Psychiatric Social Worker for UAB’s Center for Psychiatric Medicine, and Medical Social Worker at UAB Civitan-Sparks Clinics. Dr. Arnold is currently serving as Social Work Faculty and Co-Director at the UAB Pediatric Pulmonary Center. Her special interest include exploring concepts of culture diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as well as topics surrounding health equity and social determinants of health.
Interests
Her specified interests include increasing leadership for cultural diversity and cultural and linguistic competence in networks supporting children with special healthcare needs and working to reduce health disparities experienced for marginalized populations.
