    Bio:

I grew up in Israel and completed my medical training in Jerusalem. I met my husband in medical school and we have four children: Tamar, Naomi, Asaf and Yotam, and our dog Polly who made the move with us. In 2023 we relocated to Birmingham for fellowship programs for both of us, bringing our whole family along.

Since moving here I’ve truly fallen in love with the city. The warm hospitality, beautiful weather, excellent school system and easy commute have all made it a wonderful place to live and raise a family. The Endocrinology Division at Children’s of Alabama immediately felt like a second home. It’s a supportive and caring team with a strong academic environment and a wide variety of complex and interesting patients. I’ve been fortunate to have the support to both provide care and continue learning and growing as a clinician.

When I’m not at work I enjoy baking, cooking and spending time in nature with my family.

    Bio:

I am a Florida girl, born and raised - I grew up just a few minutes away from the beach and about two hours away from Disney. I learned to appreciate the magic of medicine at a very early age when I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I knew from that moment on that I wanted to use my story and experience to help other children and adolescents facing the same day-in and day-out struggles. I attended Stetson University for undergrad and the University of South Florida for my master’s degree. During a gap year before medical school, I worked as a certified diamond associate and Pandora jewelry specialist (and sold some jewelry that cost more than my medical education!).

I then attended medical school in the Loveliest Village on the Plains, where I earned my osteopathic medical degree and became part of the Auburn University family and fandom (War Eagle!). While in medical school, I met two incredible men - the first being my now husband, Eldon, and the second being my diabetic alert dog, Dogtor Newton. Fun fact: Eldon and I met right before the COVID pandemic and started our relationship with social distancing and virtual dating!

We then journeyed north together for my pediatrics residency in Lexington, Kentucky, where our brilliant, sassy and beautiful daughter Eleanor joined our family. Now we are back in Alabama and I am starting to live my dream of being a pediatric endocrinologist. I particularly love working with my diabuddies in clinics and educating residents and students about the wonder of the endocrine system. When I am not at the hospital, you can find me hanging out with family, talking about Disney and Harry Potter, watching movies or crime shows, or cooking up new recipes!
