The Collat School of Business’s online graduate Management Information Systems program opens a new website is ranked No. 3 in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report. The program jumped one spot in the online programs rankings this year. The only schools to rank higher were Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University.

“We are extremely pleased that once again U.S. News has recognized the quality and impact of our MSMIS program," said Christopher L. Shook, dean of the Collat School of Business. “Our exceptional faculty ensure students study the latest developments in this fast-moving field while staying grounded in well-research theory and best practices. It’s an extraordinary program.”

To develop the overall ranking, U.S. News & World Report scores and ranks online graduate business programs in five categories: services and technology, student engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials, and student excellence.

More than 75 students are currently enrolled in the program, which is only offered online. Students can concentrate in cyber security management, business analytics, or IT operations and strategy to tailor coursework to their individual career plans. Interested students with a bachelor’s degree not in a computer science or information technology field can get up to speed with a bridge program that covers the basics of database management, programming, and systems analysis.

Several other Collat School of Business programs also ranked among the nation’s top online programs in U.S. News’s rankings.

The online Master of Accounting (MAc) program opens a new website ranked No. 19 among the best online graduate business programs, non-MBA category.

Collat’s online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program opens a new website ranked No. 65 among the nation’s best online MBA programs. The ranking places the program in the top 20% of all online MBA programs.

Collat's portfolio of undergraduate online degrees ranked No. 41 in the best bachelor’s in business programs category.

“This is affirmation that we are taking the right steps online programs that are both rigorous and engaging,” Shook said.

Collat's online degree programs accept applications from students through May 1 for summer term, August 1 for fall term and December 1 for spring term.
