Leadership through Service
Through meaningful experiences within our community, UAB students develop as leaders through a stronger understanding of self and others. Two of the premiere civic engagement organizations which support leadership development are the Leadership & Service Council and Serve205.
Volunteerism
The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership provides resources to support volunteerism and intentional reflection to ensure that UAB students develop as responsible citizens on campus and in our community.
Awards
Student Excellence Awards honors UAB students and student organizations for their outstanding leadership and service contributions to the campus and community. At the annual ceremony, eleven awards are presented including two community service awards: Excellence in Service Award and the Outstanding Community Service Project.
