UAB is one of the 50 top academic institutions participating in a simultaneous event to promote awareness of new research in schizophrenia and depression that will enable clinicians to develop new, better treatments. The forum, Healthy Minds across America, will be held 1-4:30 p.m. Sept. 14 in the UAB Margaret Cameron Spain Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
Several videos and medical research posters will be presented, and live presentations will showcase research by scientists at UAB.
The Birmingham chapter of the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression (NARSAD) hosts the event, organized by the UAB Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neurobiology and sponsored by the UAB Comprehensive Neuroscience Center.
Paid parking is available at the 4th Avenue Deck located at 1801 Fourth Ave. South, or limited free parking is available on the street near to the auditorium.
