BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB Zeta Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society will host a wine tasting fundraising event 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Village Wine Market in English Village, 2020 Cahaba Road. Money raised at the event will benefit the Chi Sigma Iota-Zeta Chapter's Glenda Elliott Endowed Scholarship.

The scholarship benefits students in the UAB School of Education's Counselor Education Program and is named after Glenda Elliott who is professor emeritus of the UAB Counselor Education Program.

UAB counselor education students, faculty, staff, alumni as well as counseling professionals in the Birmingham area and friends are invited to attend. Tickets are $40 before the event and $50 at the door.

Chi Sigma Iota is an international honor society for students, professional counselors and counselor educators. UAB established the Zeta Chapter in 1985. Chi Sigma Iota-Zeta Chapter promotes scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling.
