Learn about career opportunities with the UAB Police and Public Safety Department at the recruitment fair on July 15.
Interested in careers in law enforcement and public safety? Attend the annual University of Alabama at Birmingham Police and Public Safety Department recruitment fair Wednesday, July 15, to meet the team, learn about career opportunities and apply for open positions on-site.
The recruitment fair will be held at the UAB Police Department, 1117 14th St. South, Birmingham, AL 35205, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The fair is open to anyone interested in career opportunities with UAB Police and Public Safety and is free to attend.
UAB Police and Public Safety is responsible for the safety of an 18 million-square-foot urban campus, protecting a daily footprint of over 50,000 visitors, 26,000 employees and 21,000 students. This includes the fifth-largest hospital in the United States.
“We maintain a robust force of more than 100 sworn police officers and 70 security officers along with our state-of-the-art Security Operations Center, which provides 24/7 oversight, monitoring more than 7,000 surveillance cameras and integrated public safety technology,” said Daryl Green, Ph.D., associate vice president and chief of police. “Our officers are dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for UAB students, staff, faculty and visitors.”
The department is hiring for the positions of:

- Property and evidence administrative support specialists
At the fair, attendees can expect to gain valuable insight about the department and available positions and to communicate face to face with representatives on all the recruited positions.
