The UAB Juried Student Annual features the best works of art created by students in the UAB Department of Art and Art History. The exhibition itself features works across all media made by students enrolled in a studio art class in the preceding year. Works for this year's exhibition were selected by juror Leslie Sharpe, assistant professor of digital media at Indiana University. Sharpe also is an AT&T Fellow. Her works have been featured at the Kiasma Museum of Art in Helsinki, Finland, as well as in the RealTime 08 exhibition at the Dallas Contemporary. Her main areas of focus include new technologies and adaptive reuses of transportable media devices.
