Cirque Eloize Shows at the ASC Canceled, Replaced with New Shanghai Circus

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Alys Stephens Center, the November 9 performances of Cirque Eloize have been canceled.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Alys Stephens Center, the November 9 performances of Cirque Eloize have been canceled.

However, the Alys Stephens Center will replace the show with New Shanghai Circus later in the performance season. New Shanghai Circus is a talented and world-renowned troupe of acrobats and contortionists that thrilled Birmingham audiences at the Alys Stephens Center last year.

Ticket holders to Cirque Eloize are being contacted by the Alys Stephens Center’s staff and have three options:

  • The credit for Cirque Eloize tickets can be applied to the purchase of any other tickets to a performance in the ASC’s 2002-2003 season, including New Shanghai Circus.

  • The value of the tickets can be donated and a tax credit issued to you.

  • The credit can be exchanged for a full refund of the ticket price.
