Biography
Dr. Kyle Mauk joined the UAB Department of Surgery in August of 2024. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He subsequently trained at the University of Florida College of Medicine-UF Health Jacksonville where he completed his podiatric medicine and surgical residency, with a reconstructive rear foot and ankle certification.
Before joining the UAB Department of Surgery, Mauk was an assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Orthopedic Surgery. While there, he served as Associate Residency Program Director for the Podiatric Surgical Residency Program -- providing surgical training for nine residents.
Mauk is dual board certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
