Biography

Luis O. Vasconez, M.D., established the Division of Plastic Surgery at UAB in 1985 and was its chief until 2010. He is nationally and internationally recognized for his contributions to reconstructive and breast surgery with muscle and cutaneous flaps, as well as aesthetic surgery with endoscopy and facial rejuvenation.
