Surgery Grand Rounds

Faculty Exchange Program
Annual
The Junior Faculty Exchange Program involves a reciprocal exchange of a Department of Surgery Assistant Professor-level faculty from UAB and several intuitions during the summer of an academic year.
The program was created to build an academic relationship between the participating surgical departments and to provide a mechanism for junior faculty to disseminate their research, expand their networks and learn from other leaders and experts outside of their home institution.
In past years, a typical visit lasts two or three days, and the visiting faculty member usually gives a lecture to students and residents, as well as a section/division-level lecture. Some institutions have used the visit for grand rounds.
Surgery Research Seminar
Monthly
The Surgery Research Seminar (SRS) is a venue for investigators and student-investigators to present their work, one time a year, to colleagues for the purpose of collaboration and as part of our research training programs.
