The MSK radiology section provides high quality diagnostic imaging and therapeutic services to a wide variety of surgical and medical specialists.

The faculty interprets CT, MRI, and radiographs of the musculoskeletal system, performs high resolution MSK ultrasound imaging, and conducts a wide range of image guided percutaneous interventions.

Our section is comprised of seven faculty members with advanced training and experience in MSK imaging, several of whom are nationally and internationally recognized experts in the field. MSK faculty are active members of numerous professional societies, serve on editorial boards of scholarly publications, and frequently speak at national and international scientific and educational meetings. Research interests are diverse, with an emphasis on orthopedics, sports medicine, and orthopedic oncology.

The MSK section places a strong emphasis on education, offering four fellowship positions. Our fellowship program provides exposure to a wealth of clinical material, extensive imaging experience, and close collaboration with preeminent orthopedic and oncologic colleagues. The program includes weekly MSK clinical conferences, didactic lectures, and personalized daily one on one training. Fellows perform supervised ultrasound-, fluoroscopy-, and CT guided procedures for both therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. They also actively participate in multiple interdepartmental conferences and tumor board meetings, allowing them to review, present, and engage in complex case discussions within a collegial, interdisciplinary environment. Fellows are encouraged and supported in participating in clinical research projects with the faculty. By the end of the MSK fellowship, trainees are well equipped to manage the most complex MSK cases and interventions using all imaging modalities.
