Tiago Colicchio

Research and Teaching Interests:

Designing smarter EHR systems through improved interoperability, knowledge representation, and patient-specific clinical decision support systems

Dr. Colicchio joined the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science in 2018 after receiving his Ph.D. in biomedical informatics from the University of Utah. Dr. Colicchio has over 20 years of industry and academic experience designing and implementing electronic health records (EHRs), with a strong track record of EHR and clinical decision support (CDS) research. He has served as co-editor of the CDS section of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) Yearbook, and is an active member of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) and Health Level 7 (HL7) CDS Workgroups.”
