Dr. Wang is one of the first physicians to become board certified in the new subspecialty of clinical informatics. She later served as a U.S. representative on the Content Committee of the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO, now SNOMED International). Dr. Wang was Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine and Faculty Director of Health Informatics Graduate Programs at Northwestern University prior to
joining UAB.
