One distinguishing factor is our affiliation with UAB Hospital and its designation as the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region. This provides our residents with exposure to a wide variety of complex, challenging cases. You will work alongside experienced trauma anesthesiologists, actively participating in the management of critically ill and injured patients. This exposure will cultivate your skills, hone your decision-making abilities, and prepare you to handle emergent situations with confidence.
We also offer an array of clinical experiences across a spectrum of specialties. From obstetric to cardiovascular anesthesia, pain medicine, critical care, and beyond, our program gives you a wealth of rotation opportunities that will enable you to develop a better understanding of the field.
