Diversity Abroad

Identity plays a strong role in an intercultural experience and preparation and support are often keys to a successful and positive international experience. You are encouraged to plan ahead in an effort to learn about and utilize resources available and to request any additional support needed.

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program

STEP is a free service to allow U.S. citizens and nationals traveling abroad to enroll their overseas travel with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

Overseas Insurance

All UAB students conducting official university business while abroad are required to be covered by the UA System International Travel Assistance Program.
