It’s Time to Change How We View a Child’s Growth.
Act Early Alabama is a collaborative effort, consisting of state agencies, advocacy groups, parents, and other stakeholders, that strives to improve awareness of typical child development and appropriate action steps in identifying and treating atypical development that results in developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This campaign was designed by CDC, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and a coalition of partners. Learn the Signs, Act Early, provides information to teach parents, health care professionals, and child care providers about early childhood development, including possible "red flags" for autism spectrum disorders.
Complex Child is a monthly online magazine written by parents of children with special healthcare needs and disabilities. It is intended to provide medical information, along with personal experiences, in simple language that other parents can understand.
