  • National Clinical Cohort Collaborative (N3C)

A national resource of real-world data that researchers are using to speed medical research A national resource of real-world data that researchers are using to speed medical research

With stewardship from NCATS, more than 90 institutions worked together to build N3C. N3C systematically collects electronic health record (EHR) data from different institutions and harmonizes them into a central enclave. The enclave offers spaces for collaborative research. In addition, EHR data within the enclave can connect to other data sets, which creates a more complete picture of patients’ health journeys.

The Trial Innovation Network (TIN) is a platform for multi-center trials and studies that encompass a wide-range of disciplines. Investigators do not need to apply for a specific RFA, but should propose a multi-center trial or study. The Network will prioritize proposals for multi-center clinical trials and studies with patient-oriented endpoints with potential for impact on clinical practice and operational innovation as well as proposals that foster collaborations with other NIH ICs over proposals seeking funding from NCATS.
