Beacon Recovery is a UAB Medicine-affiliated outpatient substance use treatment program for adults and adolescents. The program offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the individual needs and recovery goals of each patient. In addition to group therapy, patients receive individual counseling, connections to community resources, peer recovery support, and family services to help enhance the recovery process. To accommodate busy schedules, the program offers group sessions for adults in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Program fees range from $0 to $100 per month and are set based on a sliding scale, depending on household income. There is no cost for treatment for individuals with full Medicaid coverage. The initial assessment is free – regardless of income – and no one is turned away due to an inability to pay. Beacon Recovery does not accept private insurance. Medical services in the clinic, Beacon Integrated Healthcare, cost between zero and $100 per month, in addition to program fees. This includes medications for primary care, psychiatric services, and medications for opioid use disorder*. *Medications for opioid use disorder (buprenorphine or naltrexone) are included for up to 6 months. |
