Research

My general research interests are adult and childhood obesity, diet interventions, and technology-based interventions.

What made you decide to pursue a PhD?

I decided to pursue a Ph.D. because I enjoy the research process. I would like to contribute to the field of nutrition on the forefront of research and help guide the practice through research. I chose UAB because it offers a lot of different opportunities for students to involve in research and connect with well-known experts in the field.

Any special interests, hobbies, or fun facts?

I enjoy playing volleyball, traveling (current goal is to visit every state in the US), cooking (especially making authentic Chinese food – that’s my comfort food!), and exploring new restaurants.
