Research

Strong interest in research to enhance preventive strategies, clinical care, and health outcomes for long term conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and cancers. I am passionate about how to improve program delivery, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of community-based public health interventions in resource-poor settings. I have a strong interest in maternal and child health nutrition research.

What made you decide to pursue a PhD?

My chief passion and long-term goal are to do everything I can to improve health in Africa through effective nutrition intervention and health education. I strongly believe that after this PhD program I will acquire the wherewithal in research to be an astute nutrition science researcher. Researching on nutritional interventions that would effectively reduce the burden of non-communicable disease and augment evidence-based practice in Africa.
