UAB CampusThe Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for a full-time, open-rank, tenure-track faculty position in Dissemination and Implementation Science. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to join a vibrant and collaborative academic community within UAB's School of Health Professions.

The successful candidate will become part of a diverse department comprising over 40 full-time faculty members, more than 4,000 alumni, and nearly 800 students. The Department is home to nationally ranked and accredited programs, including the #1-ranked Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA), the Master’s in Healthcare Quality and Safety (ranked #11), and the CAHIIM-accredited Master’s in Health Informatics. With a strong fiscal foundation and a history of multidisciplinary research, the Department provides extensive opportunities for faculty to advance their research and teaching in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting original research and pursuing external funding in implementation and delivery system science.
  • Providing expertise in Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) methodologies.
  • Teaching graduate-level courses, including those within a newly developed D&I certificate program.

Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a Ph.D., Sc.D., Dr.P.H., or equivalent research doctoral degree in a relevant field and demonstrate excellence in research, teaching, and mentoring. The ability to secure peer-reviewed funding and collaborate across disciplines is essential.
