Admission to the MSHA Program is based upon a solid academic foundation, leadership experience, strong interpersonal skills, a capacity to work in teams, a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of those served in the field of health administration and an interview with faculty, alumni and current students.
Application Deadline
The Priority Deadline is December 1 each application cycle. The Priority Deadline grants applicants the opportunity to have early access to scheduling in-person interviews, consideration for acceptance into the program, and early consideration for limited tuition scholarships. Applications are still accepted after the deadline has passed on a space available basis.
You can start the application process now through the UAB Graduate School or via Healthcare Administration, Management & Policy Centralized Application Service (HAMPCAS). UAB is a participant of the Health Administration, Management, & Policy Centralized Application Service (HAMPCAS). HAMPCAS is the national centralized application service that provides applicants with the capability to apply to health management, administration, and policy programs across different colleges and universities throughout the U.S. by way of a single, web-based application.

International Student Requirements**

International students must also provide a Financial Affidavit of Support and immigration documentation if currently residing in the US.
*Note: No degree can be awarded without the successful completion of a 9 – 12 month administrative residency at the end of the academic coursework. Consequently, international students must have an administrative residency secured before starting the MSHA program.
