BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Women and Infants Services has launched a new consumer-friendly Web site, www.uabmedicine.org/women, in anticipation of the early 2010 opening of the new UAB Women & Infants Center.

The new site is an online resource for women who want to learn more about their health. It contains a Women's Health Answers section that provides answers to questions women have about their health, including a Personal Health Form and a Care Chart to help guide women in their efforts to stay healthy. It also contains a comprehensive library of articles, videos and podcasts on a wide range of women's health-related topics in the Women's Health Center library. And for women who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, the Pregnancy Health Center library has information on having a healthy pregnancy, as well as infertility and high-risk pregnancies.

Users also can register and select the topics in which they are most interested and receive monthly e-newsletters. Registered users also will receive breaking UAB news about their selected topics.
