BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB's Alys Stephens Center will host an improvisation workshop taught by a Chicago City Limits cast member at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13 at the center, 1200 10th Ave. South. The 90-minute workshop is open to the public with a $10 fee. Registration for the class is limited to 30 people. Call 205-934-0862.
Chicago City Limits has been delighting audiences with its unique style of improv comedy for more than 25 years. The group's workshops offer opportunities to learn from professional improvisers who practice their craft at venues across the country as part of the Chicago City Limits National Touring Company.
Chicago City Limits offers workshops in improvisation geared to all ages and all levels of experience, from complete novices to seasoned performers; they are ideal for actors, comedians, teachers or professionals who want to feel more creative and think more quickly on their feet. Workshops introduce a number of improvisational skills to foster creativity, out-of-the box thinking and performance skills. They are fun and fast-paced, and are taught in a supportive environment.
