BIRMINGHAM, AL — UAB transplant surgeon Dr. Carlton Young and the Alabama Organ Center’s Tommy Frieson will discuss organ and tissue donation from 6 to 7 p.m. on April 4 on an online chat on Alabama Live. Anyone can participate by logging on to www.al.com.

Young performs kidney and pancreas transplants as part of UAB’s world-renowned transplant program. Frieson is manager of public education at the AOC, the area’s federally designated organ procurement organization.

A second chat on this subject will be held on Alabama Live April 19. Participants will be announced at a later date.
