BIRMINGHAM, AL — In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the UAB School of Nursing Alumni Chapter, the chapter will host its Fourth Annual Alumni Night and 25th Anniversary Celebration beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 6, at the Harbert Center in Birmingham. Nearly 200 alumni and friends are expected to attend.

Held during UAB’s Homecoming Week, Alumni Night has become a tradition for nursing alumni. “It’s an opportunity for former classmates to get together with each other and with new and former faculty to reminisce and share fond memories,” said Carolyn Ross Jordan, scholarship and alumni relations administrator for the School of Nursing. “It’s also an opportunity to honor outstanding alumni and this year, to commemorate 25 years of the UAB School of Nursing Alumni Chapter.”

New this year, vendors have been invited to set up displays at the event. “This will give alumni a chance to network with representatives from area hospitals, medical supply companies, pharmaceutical companies and the UAB National Alumni Society,” Jordan said.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and the event is free of charge for all UAB School of Nursing alumni. The deadline for reservations is September 26. For reservations, please contact the School of Nursing Office of Alumni Relations at (205) 975-2443.
