University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Professor Jerry Aldridge, Ed.D., has won the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) Staff Recognition Award.

University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Professor Jerry Aldridge, Ed.D., has won the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) Staff Recognition Award.

The prize recognizes outstanding ACEI members who have assisted ACEI staff on projects and have been valuable resources of information and inspiration over the years. Aldridge is a member of the ACEI Publication Committee and has been a member of ACEI for 21 years.

Aldridge teaches early childhood education in the UAB School of Education. He is a nationally renowned expert in early childhood education, early intervention, early literacy, child development, multiculturalism and emotional development. He has published more than 100 articles in scholarly journals and authored and co-authored several books.
