Bob Centor, M.D., professor of internal medicine and associate dean of the UAB School of Medicine’s Huntsville Program, has been named to the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians (ACP). The Board of Regents manages the business and affairs of ACP. It is the main policy-making body of the college.
The ACP is a national organization of internists — physicians who specialize in the prevention, detection and treatment of illnesses in adults. ACP is the largest medical-specialty organization and second-largest physician group in the United States. Its membership of 133,000 includes internists, internal medicine subspecialists, and medical students, residents and fellows.
