The Laura Crandall Brown Foundation recently recognized Warner Huh, M.D., senior scientist in theAt the foundation’s annual Taste of Teal Gala, held March 4, Huh was named a Legacy of Laura Honoree. The award celebrates the hope, compassion, positivity and strength through action that the honoree has brought to the lives of gynecologic cancer patients and survivors.
Huh, who is also a professor and chair of the Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, has been involved in many nationally recognized organizations and served as the president of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the leading professional organization for gynecologic oncologists. Through his leadership roles, he has helped to shape the direction of the field and has worked to increase awareness of gynecologic cancer and improve patient care.
The Laura Crandall Brown Foundation is a nonprofit organization that seeks to increase awareness of gynecologic cancer and support those affected by it. It hosts events like the Taste of Teal Gala to honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the cause. The foundation was established in memory of Laura Crandall Brown, who passed away from ovarian cancer at the age of 25.
