University of Alabama at Birmingham Division of Gynecologic Oncology, has been named the scientific program chair for the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO)’s 2020 Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer.
Kenneth H. Kim, M.D., MHPE, associate professor in theHis term begins in March of 2019 and will run through March 2020. SGO is the premier medical specialty society for health care professionals trained in the comprehensive management of gynecologic cancers and contributes to the advancement of women’s cancer care by encouraging research, providing education, raising standards of practice, advocating for patients and members and collaborating with other domestic and international organizations.
Kim’s new responsibilities will be in addition to his current roles as associate fellowship director of Gynecologic Oncology, director of Robotic Surgical Education and Training, and associate scientist at the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center.
“Here at UAB, we provide unparalleled care for those at risk or effected by gynecologic cancers, and I’m proud to represent our institution on an international scale,” Kim said.
